1. The connection of brands and media was never so closer as it is today.

Social media now is not just a platform for advertisements for brands. As brands are getting closer to the consumers in the social media, trends have certainly begun to shift in the favor of brands.

Approximately 33% of consumers mention the brand names while sharing their personal achievements. They accept that they include brand name just to say thanks.

Brands are establishing a long-lasting relationship with their consumers through social media. Around 80% of the Instagram users follow a brand.

2018 is all about making relationships with customers and providing feedback when users need it the most from you.

2. More than 100,000 messenger bots are active on facebook messenger itself while at the same time they are handling product orders, customer queries and take feedback from the customers.

Use of chatbots in Facebook messenger has increased the productivity of the companies 3.5 times. All chatbots aren’t created equally, they have to be customized as per your requirements.

3. Brands will rely more on social listening this year. Social listening is tracking all the conversations in the social media revolving around specific words and phrases to find new opportunities to create content for that audience. It gives them opportunities to reflect on and analyze their audience reactions.

1. Make customer service better- here in social media, social listening tools can help track user sentiments and make better decisions.
2. Make more engaging content- Using social listening tools, you can identify what is in the buzz and create engaging content.

3. More image filters and augmented reality- This has started with Linkedin- they have introduced snapchat like filters for their users, which gives brands uniqueness.

Instagram and Snapchat allow advertisers use customized face filters which costs around 1000s of dollars in a short span of time.

Filters and augmented reality will be one of the major highlights this year.
